Every year several hundred foreign reporters participate in Finnfacts´ media tours. Our aim is to give the journalists an opportunity to become acquainted with the most innovative Finnish companies and know-how. Topics of our media tours vary from industrial design to clean technologies.

September 4-9, 2010 Cleantech Smart Days pre-press tour in Finland – focus on water and energy efficiency

Finland has been recognized numerous times by the World Economic Forum as the most environmentally advanced country in the world. The country has an abundance of advanced technology and innovations, which can be put into use when finding solutions to environmental problems facing the globe. Finland aims to become the world’s best known cleantech country.This press tour introduces you some of the top Finnish companies on environmental technologies. These companies will also be present at the Cleantech Finland Smart Days that will be held in the Finnish pavilion in Shanghai EXPO in October. During the press tour we will visit a number of production sites, r&d centres and head offices in Helsinki and the surrounding areas.This press tour is organized by Finnfacts in co-operation with Cleantech Finland.

September 27-29, 2010 Fin/Est Mobile Innovation: MobileMonday 10 Year Anniversary Summit and Peer Awards

MobileMonday Anniversary Summit will bring you the best and brightest of the Finnish and Estonian mobile industries including Nokia, Skype and Fortumo. Finnfacts is organising together with MobileMonday Finland a media tour during the Anniversary Summit.

The summit has got a great lineup of top people from Finland, Estonia and around the globe who will speak on a range of current topics. You’ll get updates from some of MoMo’s newest chapters (rise of the creative markets) like Uganda, Kenya, India, Pakistan, Brazil joined with the most advanced of Japan, Scandinavia/Baltics, US etc. At the annual Peer Awards, the world’s best mobile products and services will compete for the honor of being this year’s winner.

MobileMonday is a community of mobile professionals. The open community promotes the mobile industry and fosters cooperation and networking among industry people and their companies by providing opportunities for personal and virtual contacts. The MobileMonday phenomenon began in Finland in the autumn of 2000, through informal Monday evening meetings between a few well-known Finnish visionaries. Since then it has grown rapidly into a global phenomenon.
